Angela’s passion for understanding the structure and function of the human body, was ignited during her time at Cardiff University where she gained her Bachelor of Sciences (Honours) degree in Physiology, in 2000. She went on to do her osteopathic training on a full time degree course at the British School of Osteopathy (now University College of Osteopathy), the largest and oldest school of Osteopathy in the United Kingdom, well respected for its teaching, research and clinical practice. She graduated in 2008 after gaining a Bachelor’s degree in Osteopathy, with Distinction, following which she worked in busy osteopathic clinics in Yorkshire, England, and in Barbados, before moving to Canada in 2015.

 

Angela has experience treating a wide range of conditions and injuries, treating all ages: from newborns to elders. She enjoys using an integrative approach to assessment and treatment, incorporating a range of manual therapy approaches in her practice, including Soft Tissue and Myofascial Release, Osteopathic Joint Mobilization, Cranial Osteopathy, Visceral Manipulation and Neural Manipulation.

 

With her extensive biomechanical background and subtle approach she is able to look at the body and its issues from a different perspective. Always seeking to widen the scope of her knowledge and skills, Angela has a strong commitment to continuous professional development.

 

Post-graduate courses have included:

• Advanced Osteopathic Manipulation

• Myofascial Release and Trigger Point Therapy

• Cranial Osteopathy Courses in both Sutherland (UK) and Upledger (Canada) approaches

• Visceral Manipulation and Neural Manipulation (Barral Institute)

• Women’s Health, including osteopathic care during pregnancy

 

Away from the clinic, Angela enjoys yoga, being outdoors, and has a love for the Ocean, with a passion for surfing.
